Meet our new President & CEO Kristi Oberg
Kristi was born and raised in Wichita and loves giving back to her community through her new role as President/CEO at the Wichita Public Library Foundation. A sixth generation Kansan, her ties to our community are strong. Kristi cares about Wichita and its residents.
Oberg’s career includes more than 15 years of senior fund development experience with the Wichita State University Foundation, the Kansas Humane Society and the National Conference for Christians and Jews, among others. She holds a Master of Arts in Communication from Wichita State University.
“Kristi has an impressive track record of successful fundraising on behalf of very high-profile Wichita institutions,” said Tim Moore, the chairman of the board for the WPLF. “She will bring great energy to the Foundation, as we harness the momentum from our successful capital campaign for the Advanced Learning Library to connect even more people to the vital mission of the library.”
“The Wichita Public Library is a very dynamic institution that is helping create a stronger community on multiple fronts,” said Oberg. “From literacy and technology access to workforce development and arts, library branches are tackling some of our most important challenges. I am so excited to help fund this work and share the story of our libraries and the Foundation.”
Kristi is looking for outreach opportunities in the community as well as the chance to meet supporters of the Wichita Public Library. Please reach out to Kristi at 316-261-8454.
